Hurricanes is located upstairs at 200 S. Main Street, one block up from the muncipal pier in downtown Huntington Beach.

During the day it is a full service restaurant with an international menu. They feature cuisine representing the diverse array of Caribbean cultural influences including African, French, and Spanish dishes.

By night Hurricanes offers generous Happy Hour specials: All appetizers, cocktails, and draft beers are half price. This deal is offered Monday-Saturday: 4:30pm to 7:30pm, Monday–Wednesday: 10:00pm to 12:30am, and Sunday: 9:00pm to 12:30am.

Hurricanes is definitely more club than bar. This is not the place to come to have a relaxing beer with a friend, not a pool table or dartboard in sight. People generally come here looking to get laid, played, or (in the case of the extremely hot and endlessly tolerant cocktail waitresses) paid. The club is usually packed wall to wall. There is one small dancefloor. Most nights a local band will start playing at 9 and there is always a live dj ready to spin the beats into the wee hours. There is also (Thank God) a smoking lounge where you can get your fix while drinking your delicious beverage and enjoying a nice view of downtown HB.

Be warned there is a $7 cover charge on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8:30pm.
