The Longboard is a cool little watering hole located at 217 Main Street in downtown Huntington Beach, right across the street from the big brown bench bear.

If you’re looking for a bite to eat, Longboard is a full service restaurant. If you want you can get a steak or an awsome burger, but the menu here is packed with a great variety of seafood dishes. They have everything from Micro Brewed Shrimp to Albacore and Mahi Mahi sandwiches to real Maine Lobster. It’s a veritable cornucopia of briny goodness. I definitely recommend sitting outside and people watching while you eat.
Longboard is famous for being the oldest restaurant and bar in downtown Huntington Beach. Their hours of operation are 11:00am to 12:00am Monday-Thursday, 11:00am to 1:00am Friday, 10:00am to 1:00am Saturday, and 9:30am to 12:00am Sunday. They have 17 different varieties of domestic and imported beer on tap, ranging in price from $3.50 to $4.50 a pint. Because it is set up as a restaurant, there is not a lot of room on the inside, however, there is usually an open spot at the bar. There aren’t any pool tables or dartboards, not even a pinball machine. But if you’re looking for a good sports bar, in addition to 17 beers on tap, Longboard has 18 televisions one of which is likely to be showing whatever game you might want to see. The outdoor seating area also allows you the opportunity to enjoy a smoke while relaxing with your drink.
The Longboard is a great place to go and enjoy a variety of good beer with a buddy while watching the Angels kick some ass. If that’s not what you’re looking for, it also makes a nice place to stop whether you’re just doing some random bar-hopping or on a serious downtown pub crawl. It’s a true Huntington Beach landmark.
